The State of the Union

President Bush gave his final State of the Union address this evening. He addressed many issues facing the country. Go find an article about the speech and describe two of the issues he presented. Strive to be original.

The state of the union is a very powerful speech that the president gives. He talked about how he wants the people to spend their own money and not the government.

I think its cool that the president and his followers are giving people money to boost the economy. I also support the war in iraq because they threatened my freedom and the only way we could take that threat away is to take them down.

I listened to The State of the Union address and I was proud of what President Bush had to say. I liked how he talked about not giving up on the war and all the other issues. Pres. Bush had to be very strong mentally and socially through his two terms. I realize that a lot of people do not particularly like him, but I feel he is someone to admire!

On financial matters, Mr. Bush is expected to urge congress to pass a stimulus package to boost a slowing economy. On the security front, the president is expected to call for prompt adoption of a bipartisan bill that helps the federal government's ability to monitor terrorist suspects. He mentioned, the looming fiscal crisis in Social Security and Medicare, both due to cost taxpayers trillions in the near future as baby boomers retire.
